Limited Opening For Essential Workers Starting April 27, 2020

Date: April 17, 2020

Subject: LIMITED OPENING FOR ESSENTIAL WORKERS STARTING MONDAY APRIL 27th

To: All Parents and Sprouting Star Familes

The Sprouting Star Staff has been working hard towards April 27, 2020 and welcoming the children back at school. We are still optimistic that we can open safely at that time to support our families.

If you would like to return your child to Sprouting Star on April 27, please take 1 minute and let us know and SIGN-UP HERE. Due to increased safety measures, we have limited capacity, so please sign-up early.

Effective immediately, child day care operations are only able to provide child day care services to essential service employees and to children receiving protective day care from the Department of Family & Protective Services (DFPS).

Texas Health and Human Services Child Care Regulation

If you are an essential worker, and would like your children to return to the school on April 27th, please CLICK HERE TO SIGN-UP NOW. We need your information as soon as possible but no later than Monday, April 20th to plan our interim classrooms.

Essential workers are required to sign an Attestation of Child Daycare for Essential Workers form. This is a State requirement. Once we get your sign-up sheet, you will receive an email and be able to sign this form online. If you are unable to sign the form online, we will need to receive this signed form back from you before we can place your child on the limited opening class roster.

ALL SELF-PAY ESSENTIAL WORKERS WILL RECEIVE 10% DISCOUNT OFF THE CURRENT PRICELIST THROUGH JUNE 1ST.

Please know that this limitation of care to essential workers is a regulatory requirement from Texas Childcare Licensing. Please understand that as a fully licensed child care center, we must comply with this rule as it comes from the licensing authority, Texas Health and Human Services Child Care Regulation. I have attached the letter they have asked us to distribute. We apologizes for any inconveniences this limitation might cause to some families, and we look forward to opening the center fully to serve everyone as soon as we are permitted to do so.

We will continue to post lesson plans and stories and hold video circle time with the children that do not return immediately.

The safety of the children and staff are our first priority. It is our Sprouting Star Promise to provide a safe environment for the kids. We take that responsibility very seriously. There will be enhanced control procedures in effect during this limited opening. There will be more information about this shortly.
